Nothing like a White Christmas!

That's right, it has snowed as most of you probably already know. It didn't really snow that much down in West Texas, but this year T and I went to my in-laws for Christmas in New Mexico. And did it snow there!!

I love this picture! My sis-in-law took it for us.

It was snowing when we got to T's parents place in New Mexico.

I love Hereford bulls so I had to get a picture of one.

We also went sledding and had snowball fights.

Doesn't he look handsome! I thought so too! :)

T's dad made us both a pair of boots for Christmas. I love mine!

I also drew this picture for T's parents. That is a picture of his dad. I'm very proud of this piece, I tried some different techniques and I think they worked!

We had such a fun filled, busy Christmas and I had lots to tell, but I decided it would be better just to post pictures. I think people would rather look at pictures anyways. Hope you enjoyed!

Birthday's and Baby presents

Who would have thought that I'd be getting baby things for my 19th birthday? I sure didn't, but I love it! Tuesday was my actual birthday, December 7th, but Sunday night my parents and grandparents came out to the house for supper. My mother cooked me lasagna, a tradition for my birthday for as long as I can remember! It was fun, My grandparents hadn't ever been out to my house so I was excited to pick things up and decorate. Just ask T, I think he was a little put out me for cleaning so much. Only because he made the mistake of getting all of his things done and I put him to work when he got home. Oh well, it's good for him!

My parents got me a new car seat for little K when he gets here. Just the first of many baby things we are going to need I imagine. My friend is working on putting a baby shower together for me, sometime in January but we are still pondering ideas. I can't wait for it!

Today I had to work and boy let me tell ya, I'm tired! My helper wasn't there today so I had to do a lot of cleaning by myself, and I didn't even come close to getting it all done. Luckily I have tomorrow and my helper should be there to get the rest of it done. But for now, I'm sitting here with my feet up!

I wanted to add a lot more to this post, but I'm to tired too.. Sadly. So I'm going to say good night and see ya next time! :)

Windmill's and such

I know I blogged yesterday, but it's Sunday afternoon and I wanted to share some pictures with ya'll.
T took me to see a windmill yesterday on our way over to some friends. It's not just any ol' windmill though, this one is really old and is completely forged!

T says that it has a span of 20-25 feet, he couldn't remember which but I had him stand in front of it to see just how big it is. I also thought the sky is really pretty behind it.

This is a leg of the windmill and you can see that there are no welds or anything.

Pretty neat huh? I thought so!

Well, I just had to share and I needed a break from cleaning. (My motivation is still MIA but I've been forcing myself to pick up the house.) T went with the hunters that are here this morning so I was able to get a lot done. I thought we would get to spend the afternoon together, but the hunters came back after dinner and asked if T could go play. So I'm here by myself, trying to get out of cleaning :)

Ya'll have a great week!

No Motivation!!

Nope, nada, none! No motivation whatsoever. This past week it has just up and left me and it's not a good thing! I have a house to clean, presents to wrap, a yard that really really needs picking up. Not to mention a truck that I've been wanting to clean for some time now because there is a "happily hitched," sign still painted on the back window. How sad right? Yes indeed, very sad. I have all these ideas and no motivation and it's driving me crazy! Maybe tomorrow I can get some things done, since I don't have to work and T will be around to help. I doubt it though, that has been my excuse for the past week.

I am very proud of myself this year. I have all of my Christmas shopping/crafting done for the season, save wrapping everything but that shouldn't take me very long. We also have our Christmas tree picked out, but we are waiting to cut it down. I don't want it to dry out this early on, although I'm excited about getting it up. Of course, it would help if I would take down my fall decorations, but no motivation is responsible for that. I haven't gotten my Christmas cards done yet though, still waiting on pictures.

In other news, I'm 26 weeks today! Doesn't that mean I'm in the 3rd trimester? Or at least really close to it! Little K has been kicking and kicking me like crazy, and seems to like the right side of my belly. It always bulges out more on that side.

Not a very good picture huh? I thought for sure I'd be bigger by now, but to me it looks the same! T says I've gotten bigger. I disagree... In my hips but not my belly.

Well, not much else has been happening around here. It's hunting season out here so work has picked up and T has been in a really good mood lately. Since he doesn't have to see certain people everyday. Tonight we are going over to eat with some of the other ranch hands and it will take us about two hours to get over there. So, I'm going to force myself to do something.. wish me luck.

Blogging Shortage

A lot has happened around here since that last time I blogged, although that wasn't very long ago. I try to blog once, maybe twice a week. I enjoy blogging, it's like talking to that friend who doesn't care what you say :)

Well my wonderful husband turned 22 last Tuesday. It was a good day, even though I had to work. I got home early enough to start supper which was supposed to consist of Steak, mashed potatoes, peas and homemade biscuits... Key word, supposed to. A flat tired ruined on T's ranch pickup ruined that, along with my good mood so we ended up having steak and mac n cheese.

Wednesday night we went into town to stay with my folks for Thanksgiving and they had another, much more successful supper for T. Thanksgiving was great, lots of good food and lots of time with family made it worth while. Although, Saturday morning I was ready to sleep in my own bed. :)

T had off till Sunday, so his sister and brother-in-law came down for the night. It was a short trip but it was good to get to see every them. Their little ones are so dang cute! Can' wait for mine to get here.

Today I was supposed to clean the house and finish laundry, but I decided to go with T instead to check waters.

I'm not really myself tonight. I guess a sore throat and runny nose will do that to ya. I really hope that I'm not getting sick, but I think it's too late. And, I've had the blues the last couple of days, not the baby blues, just hormonal blues. I'm sure some of you can relate.

Well, I think I'll get off now and eat supper. The baby is hungry :)

It's a... Oh yeah it's definitely a Boy!!

Yes, it's a boy! We are having a little boy! Or that's what the U/T tech told us.. And it was pretty clear that its a boy, kinda hard not to miss!

Anyways... when we got to the hospital, they got us checked right into radiology and in no time we were looking at our little one on a screen. I had a female tech this time, instead of the hippie cowboy I had last time, and she was a lot gentler! She checked to see what it was first thing, and it took her all of about 2 seconds to figure out it was boy! Like I said earlier, it was kind of hard not to miss. For me anyways, T didn't hear what she said and but he soon figured it out. She first measured me, then the baby's head, abdomen, and femur bone, to see how far along he was. He weight 1 lb 5 oz right now and is 22 weeks and 5 days along. It's amazing what technology can do these days! To see how much he weights just by the length and size of certain things!

This is a profile picture of him

His foot!

The little guy was being awfully shy though, he had managed to wedge himself in the very lower right part of my belly, curling up in a tiny little ball and using my bladder as a pillow. She showed us the spine and he was really curled up, in a very tight little ball! When she was measuring the top of the head, you could see a foot right next to it! It's crazy how flexible he seems to be!

This one is hard to make out, but there is only face there, not two! If you look in the upper left corner you can see his nostrils, and to the right of that his mouth is open. It looked like he was sucking when we were watching him, opening and closing his mouth. Oh and he had the hiccups!

Here is another one of his face, he has his hand up by his mouth and his head rested on my bladder. (The large white thing at the bottom of screen. You can see his eyes, nose, and mouth and he looks like he is frowning!

I can't wait to meet him! March is never going to get here! Oh, and they moved my due date up, not very much but it is now March 10th. I have a feeling that he will be early but thats ok with me!

Now I bet your wondering about T and what he thinks. He is excited, but this morning he asked me if I was sure it was a boy. I'm pretty sure it is I told him. He admitted that he kind of wanted a little girl to love on, but he will get one one day! :)
And here I am at 22 weeks. Showing just a little bit more. Well, I'm going to work on some things so ya'll have a great rest of the week. :)

Oh, and just in case your wondering, his name will be Keagan Tell Blackwell!

Sunday Evening Rambllings

Well it's Sunday evening, and T and I are just chillin, watching movies and visiting. I went to church this morning and had a wonderful pot luck dinner with everyone at church. I like going to church, even though I have to go by myself. Sometimes I can make for a long day and then I'm tired when I get home, but that's what Sunday evenings are for! Poor T had to get up and go to work this morning though, but luckily he was home by dinner.

Did everyone know about the end of daylight savings? Because I sure didn't... I was glad I called my mother this morning and found out that I was going to be an hour early to church! I guess that's what happens when you live in the middle of no where and don't talk to very many people (which I love by the way!) But it's all good now! The clocks are set back and life can go on.. maybe! Ha! T's boss won't change his time, so the ranch is still set an hour ahead. Makes me laugh because if you think about it, he is losing an extra hour of work out his already tired men! :)

Anyways, tomorrow I have my monthly doctors appointment. This appointment has been much waited upon, mainly because the doc is supposed to order an ultrasound so we can find out what we are having! Finally! And.. it's just like me, but in my book that has informed me more about pregnancy than anyone I've talked too (No offense mom!) it says that there is a window of time to find out what the sex is (16 to 22 weeks) and I'm right at the end of the window! If the baby gets to big then there is not enough room for the UT to see what it is. So I'm slightly freaking out. If I have any say in it, then hopefully Wednesday we will be finding out if we are having a little miss or a little mr. I can't wait! Oh, and T is coming with me! He says he doesn't care what his boss says, This is important!! Is it not?

Well, that is all the rambling I have for today. I rearranged my living room this past week and I have to finish picking up the pile of stuff thats found it's stuff on the floor. Not to mention my kitchen needs cleaning... again. Oh and supper needs cooked, I was thinking green Chile enchiladas! Adios ya'll! :)

Real Quick!

Awwhaha! I just had to share! Yesterday marked 20 weeks for me, and this morning I woke up to the little one kicking me pretty good and I saw my belly move! It was so exciting! :)

I should contain myself, but I get easily excited about such things! Lately the little one has been doing acrobatics in my belly, moving all over the place and kicking like crazy! T finally got to feel it kick the other day, made him all giggly if you can believe that! :) I can't wait for Novemeber to get here, so we can finally find out what we are having!

Oh, I also thought you might like an update on my aunt. She is doing much better now, still laid up in bed in Colorado but I talked to her on the phone the other day and you couldn't even tell that something was wrong. She has a bladder infection that they are trying to get under control then they are going to try and send her home to Friona. Thank you for all the prayers that have been sent her way! :)

Ok, I have Christmas presents to work on, since I dont' have to motivation to do anything else haha! Ya'll have a great day!

This is what I did yesterday....

No, I wasn't playing Indians & Outlaws, I was participating in the 20th Annual Freestyle Reining!

My song was "Big Iron" by Marty Robbins. I was the ranger in the song, and my friend was the outlaw! Oh and my horse played my trusty steed! She wasn't to happy about the mustache but she performed great for me!

It was a lot of fun getting to see all the different themes and costumes, however some people come up with the crazies things to do! :)

Since I won the saddle last year, I couldn't compete for it again this year. I could compete for reserve champ though which in my opinion is better than champion, And.. I  was really hoping to win it. I'll get to that later though. Well, Petie and I placed 2nd in our age group which was the Senior group (My last year to compete as a 4-H member, next year I will be in the adult group.) I won a really cool breast collar which will look good on my saddle :) At first I was half way nervous about winning reserve since I only placed 2nd, but I shouldn't of been. (just for the record, I'm not the kind of person that thinks they are better than everyone else, I only wanted to win reserve champ for one reason, which I'm getting to) Enough babbling! After much anticipation, Champ, and reserve champ were finally awarded, and sure enough, I won reserve. I was thrilled! Now, for the big prize that I had been hoping to win? It was this....

A piece of paper your wondering? Well, it's not just a piece of paper, it's a certificate for a Custom made hat from Spradley Hats (They spelled Spradley wrong on the certificate haha!) Now I didn't want this for myself, I wanted it for my husband. He has always wanted a Spradley hat and I was going to get him one for his birthday, but this way he can actually have the hat for his birthday! :) Yay! He is very excited about it to!

Well anyways, T and I are enjoying a lazy Sunday, so ya'll have a great one too!

2nd Annual Cowgril Gathering and Things

This past weekend was the 2nd annual Cowgirl Gathering that our church puts on, and let me tell ya, it was such a blast! Last year I was fully involved in the planning of the Gathering, but this year I decided to sit back and enjoy it. Of course, I had other things on my mind when they started having the meetings :) This weekend also marks the one year anniversary since I started blogging! Haha!

T was a little upset that I was going to be leaving him for a couple of days, but I was glad to get to spend some time with other women. He did just fine without me! There were about 40 of us this year, which is 10 more than last year. At night, the dining hall was filled with lots of laughter and cheerful voices, mine included! It was really good for me because some of the things that were talked about really hit home in certain areas of my life that I'm struggling with. Prayer was the "theme," of the gathering this year. Anyways, I won't get all sentimental on ya'll, but it was a good time and a refresher for me when it comes to prayer and the Lord! :)

So, going into the gathering, me, my best friend, and our Pastor's wife were the only ones who knew I was expecting. However, leaving the event, all 40 women knew. Someone spilled the beans I don't know who it was yet but it is on longer a surprise! Oh and did I mention that pregnancy was the topic of conversation the whole weekend after everyone found out. Everywhere I turned there were women talking about their experiences and giving advice. I was a little overwhelmed, but it feels good know that more people know.

So with that, I can start blogging about it! Yay!

This is me at 19 weeks along today

People can't believe I'm 19 weeks along and hardly showing at all. I asked my doctor about it and he said because I had such a lean stomach, (I was flattered because I don't think my stomach is very lean) that I wouldn't start to really show until around 26 weeks. I go back to the doctor on the 7th of November and he said that he would order an ultrasound so we can find out what it is! :) I can't wait!

And in other news....

This one is like having a little kid around. Since he barely has any hair, I let Cooter sleep in the house with us. He does pretty good for the most part and gets up about every hour and half to be let out. My mom said it's good practice... Haha! Except for last night of course, I wasn't feeling very good and slept through his whining. It wouldn't have been so bad except that T put him on the bed so guess what, I'm washing bedding today. Let's see, I have shoes missing, and socks, and holes in the bottoms on my pajama pants where he stands that and pulls on my pant leg in the morning. I try putting him outside but Spur just mauls him and is way to rough. T says it's good for him but I feel bad for him because Spur won't even let him walk, he just runs him over and knocks him down.

He loves his dog more than he lets on. Whenever T leaves for work, Cooter whines and tries to jump in his chair.
Button and Cooter at my parents house. She is very protective of him. :)

Well I suppose, I have fall decorating to do today, so ya'll have a great week!

Birthday parties, Puppies, and Rain Storms

If the title didn't tip you off, I've had a busy weekend/Monday!

First of all, we went to a birthday bash Saturday night, and we didn't even know the birthday boy. Claytie Williams has a huge birthday party every year at his home north of Alpine and somehow we got invited. Don't worry, we aren't running with the "big" crowd nowadays. The whole Longfellow ranch got to go. It was fun spending the evening with new friends and getting to relax for a bit. T relaxed a little to much, if you know what I mean and it made me laugh. There was a bunch of people there, most of which I didn't know! There was also the band "The Oak Ridge Boys," who played most of the night.

It got cold when the sun went down!!

Second of all, we have found ourselves with another puppy. Another cute one too!

This is Cooter! He is a two month old Catahoula puppy that my parents brought us from Missouri. We love our first puppy Spur but he is not a very good "guard dog." Hopefully he will be a good one!

He zonked out after playing so much!

And thirdly, when I was driving home from work today I saw this little rain storm.

I thought it was cool how the cloud just opened up and poured rain for like 15 minutes! It was amazing!

Well I'm off to attempt to make supper, ya'll have a great week!

I hate waiting

Not like waiting for a surprise or a birthday, but waiting for my husband to get home.

This morning didn't start out the best. I woke up to the sound of a 4-wheeler being ridden rather extremely and then slamming doors and stomping boots. I soon found out that T's horse escaped the pens and he was out looking for him, at 5:30 in dark in less. Well he didn't find him, instead he gathered a colt, who, if I might add, hasn't been ridden in three weeks, and took off ramming and jamming to the north ranch.

I went to town today. I had to get away for a bit and take the dog to the vet for boosters. While I was there I hung out with my dad and it was nice, getting to visit and stuff. Visited with my mom too at her new job. Oh and my grandmother but she was having bridge club so I didn't stay long. Also saw my brother and his friends who had just gotten back from working at the 06 for the day.

Anyways, I'm losing track of myself here. T told me before I left to bring him a treat from town. So, I brought pizza and his favorite candy to.. an empty house. No T, no truck, no horse or saddle. It was 6:30. So, I get the dog and go for a walk, to ease my waiting. 7:30, still no T. Ok, this has happened before, it's normal you could say. I eat some pizza, since it's getting cold and take a shower. 8:00, no T. My favorite show is on tonight so I sit and start watching, saying I'll wait till 9, then I'm going looking. Oh and if you didn't know, I have been calling since 4 this afternoon and not getting an answer. Only adds to my anxious waiting. Then, Finally at 8:15 I get a phone call, but it's not T. Oh great!! Let me share what was going through my mind. (Oh no, it is T's boss calling. Either he is asking to talk to T or he is telling me something is wrong. I knew riding that fresh colt was a bad idea!!!) All his boss told me was that he will be home in an hour and half. What??? What kind of an operation are you running here pal? That's ridiculous! Or is it just me? Not seconds later, the phone rings again, this time it is T. Thank goodness. I don't know whether to be happy or angry, not angry probably, bad idea.

So, I'm still watching my show, waiting for my husband to get home. Oh did I mention that I hate Waiting!!! Sorry, but I can't help the raging hormones...

Well, ya'll have a great night, I'll just be here, waiting.

Oh, real quick. My aunt had surgery and her pelvis that was broken in three places and is recovering from that, but from what my parents tell me, she may not be able to walk for a really long time, possibly ever. Her ribs are healing ok though I think, but she also tore something in her shoulder. She is pretty banged up and is still in Colo. Springs.

Prayer please

My aunt and uncle Bill & Marilyn Stovell are currently in Colorado Springs, CO. They were there for a reunion of some sort and were on a trail ride when my aunt was bucked off the horse she was riding. She is currently in ICU at the hospital in Colorado Springs with, and this is just what I've heard, a broken pelvis, 4 broken ribs and internal bleeding. Our prayers are going out to them and I just ask for ya'lls as well. Thank you.

Cleaning Frenzy

Yes that's right, I went on a cleaning frenzy yesterday! I don't know how or why it happened but it was proabably a good thing. After I got home from working I just went crazy! My bathroom, bedroom, and the kitchen are all clean. Of course, I didn't get one room picked up, the living room. Maybe next time!

Anyways, is it weird to say that I love my bed? I do I love my bed! Growing up I always had lots of pillows on my bed and, if you can't tell, there are a lot of pillows on my bed! I just love the quilt that my new mother-in-law made for T and I as a wedding present! And some friends of mine made the pillow cases with the horses on them as a wedding present also, they go good with the quilt!

I also love my kitchen! You can't judge me though, because of my horses on the tops of the shelves! My mother always had cool dishes that she would put on top of her shelves, but I don't have a whole lot of nice dishes. So... I had a box of my horses that I thought would work and they did!

If you hadn't noticed, I am in a very good mood today. Mostly because we got a lot of rain yesterday and this morning we woke up and it was foggy out! Foggy!!! Makes me wonder where the snow is! Plus, the cooler temperature makes me feel better. Being raised in the the cold, I'm not to used to all the heat that we have had this summer!

Well I have to start picking up the living and packing! We may be making a quick trip up the New Mexico, if T says we can! Yay! Ya'll have a great weekend!

Labor Day Weekend

This labor day weekend has been a very eventful one, that's for sure. Yesterday was my little brother's 16th birthday. It's hard to believe that he is already 16, makes me feel old! For his birthday his grandpa had given him a truck, only it was given to him a couple of months ago so he could be day-working. So, for my surprise for him, I took it to get "cleaned,"

My friend Stormie helped me with the "cleaning!"
Can you see the Barbie hanging from the rear view mirror?
I think we did a very good job!

I can't believe that my brother was so gullible to let me have his truck keys. Our conversation went like this..
Me: "Lj, I need your truck keys please,"
Lj: "Umm, why?"
Me: "I'm taking it to get detailed for your birthday,"
Lj: "OK!!"
Silly brother of mine. He even got it at church on Sunday. Pastor Wendell asked him to come help him with something up front and Lj went up there, being the good cowhand he is. Wendell then had him stand on a bale, which really should have tipped Lj that something was up, but no! We then proceeded to sing Happy Birthday and that's when he finally got it! His defense: "I forgot that it was my birthday...!" Yay for little brothers right!

Well that was only half of the very eventful weekend. The other half you will have to guess... but here is a picture to help ya figure it out (for those who haven't already!)

Ya'll have a great week!

I just had to share!

I think my husband is a little kid still deep down inside. I really do! He wanted me to give him a hair cut yesterday and while I was inside searching for a mirror he thought he would start cutting his hair himself. Well, just like a little kid, he did this....

Now his whole head looks like that and all I've heard from him the last 24 hours is how cold his head is. THEN! On top of that he told everyone he works with that I did it!! Not true!!!

What am I going to do with him. Ssshhh don't tell him I put this on here though... But I just had to share!

On a different note, Spur helped me gather the horses this morning.

I don't know if he really enjoyed it but it was good for him. He is still scared of the horses but hopefully not for long!

Ya'll have a blessed weekend!!

Ridin' Colts

So I had this big long post all ready to go and the internet went down and erased it... Probably the Lord telling me not to post it. It was about politics and stuff.. but anyways..

T got two new colts today.

This little bay is pretty nice looking I think. He is a two year old and I don't think he will be much taller than he is now, but he will probably be pretty stout.
The little sorrel is the one that T rode today. He is not bad looking either; taller than the bay but thinner.

Anywho, ya'll have a great Monday!!

Married life

Everyone's favorite question these past couple of weeks has been, "How is married life?"

Well, It's only been one month since T and I tied the knot but so far its great! I love being out here at the ranch and being able to wake up and see cows grazing outside the yard! It is different being here by myself though, when T is at work, but its not all the bad. Last week I finally finished unpacking all the gifts we got at our receptions. It toke me a while to find a place for everything, especially because most of it was kitchen stuff.

I have been getting to ride around with T a lot because they are not in the middle of working cows. All he is doing is checking water, so I get to ride along! Yay! The times when I can't go though, I have this little guy to keep me company.

Isn't he just adorable? Spur is his name and he is the cutest puppy I have seen in a very long time. He has such personality and sometimes keeps me from getting things done around the house. He is two months old and part border collie, part Australian shepherd. Oh and he is so smart! I've had him a week and he is already scratching at the door when he needs out!

Other than the new puppy, nothing big has happened in a while. School starts this Wednesday and... I'm not going. For many reasons but I'd rather not have to share. I know my dad is a little disappointed in me but there is a Bible college that I'm interested in that does complete online degrees. I feel like that's direction I need to be going to get an education. But, as T's favorite thing to say.. "Time will tell."

Hope ya'll have a blessed Monday and rest of the week!

Checkin' In

Well it has been a while since I have blogged last. A lot has happened between then and now, well not just a whole lot but some important things.

Too start, all my planning that has been going on for the past month or so has paid off. T and I's wedding was a success! It really doesn't feel different to be a married woman now, other than moving to a new place. Sometime I will post some pictures, but I have too many other things to do right now haha! For our honeymoon we went to San Antonio, which was a nice trip but I think we were both glad to get home. I'll have pictures of that too, I promise.

After our honeymoon we made our way to my new In-Laws for reception #1. It was very good and we really appreciate that T's parents put it on for us.

This Friday we have reception #2 in Texas, for all my family and friends. Honestly I can't wait for it to be over haha, but it will be good. I think my mother would agree with me when I say that though.

Well I am very tired and I will be blog more sometime next week, after all this wedding stuff is over. Ya'll have a good night!

One Week to Date

It's hard to believe that I'm getting married in one week. You would think I'd be more excited, but honestly I'm to tired to be excited, so is T.

I think when it gets to be one day before the wedding then I'll get really excited.

This past week has been.... challenging.. lets just say that. It has been very busy with last minute errands to run and things to organize. The decorations for the wedding are all set, my dress is clean and everyone else's cloths are pressed, my hair, make-up, jewelery is all ready to go. Flowers are ordered and a cake is being made (although that's for the reception, since my mom is having to do most of that we took care of those things early.)

T is exasperated with work, but I don't blame him. They can't go a day without someone quiting, or something going wrong out there. I feel for him, poor guy. He keeps telling me, "I can't wait to go on vacation," Isn't that the truth.

It will be my last few days here at Hudson's for the most part, save coming in a couple of times a month to help her with taxes, filing, and organizing receipts. That's ok though, I won't miss reading books at work LOL!

My parents are still not 100% ok with me getting married, come to find out. Which only added to the stress. I'm not going into that though, for mine and their sake.

I'm supposed to start college in August but the thought just makes me cringe. Is that bad? My first semester at the local college here was not what I expected and I really dont' want to have to go through that again. I'm thinking on doing something different but until I know more, it's not for sure.

We Finally got the situation with our truck figured out, or at least I hope we did. Apparently they sent the registration for the truck to New Mexico!! Umm hello!!! We live in Texas thank you very much. It took my future in-laws, T and myself calling these crazy people to straighten it up. Geez, that's what they get paid to do right? You would think they would know what they are doing.....

Well I have more running around to do so I'll catch ya'll later..

Hmm... What day is it??

I'm just being facetious.. you don't have to answer that

Of course I know what day it is.. Or at least I think I do. Today could really be my Monday. Lets just say there have been lots of blond moments. Enough said.

So I had this big long blog post that I was going to share about my trip to Stephenville but I didn't finish it and it just sat there, waiting for me to post. But it is way to late to post it. That was two weeks ago! Anyways, to make it short, I went to Stephenville to see my bestie friend from Colorado for the first time in two years and we got reended in her new little car and it was fiasco. No one was hurt which was good, but I was glad to get home after over 900 miles of driving. I love my friend but I think I'll just stay home next time.

Two weeks till the wedding and I can't stop counting the minutes. T's boss asked him if he was excited about getting married and he said, "Well it's like waiting for Christmas, the more you think about it the more pissed off you get.." So true haha!

Everything is coming together nicely, but why am I so stressed out? I'm more excited about the honeymoon.. That's probably just how it goes. I think what has made it worse is that the reception is two weeks after the wedding. I told my mother that she is in charge of that.. I'll be gone! Hehe!

My grandmother's siblings came to Alpine for the 4th of July weekend and threw T and I a wedding/bridal shower thingy ma bob. I don't know what it was really, but we opened their presents and what not. The only thing that made it a bridal shower was that my grandma got me this silky night gown and I opened it there in front of everyone. T turned a deep shade of red and my dad got mad. It was quite commecial really. I hadn't seen my aunt's and uncle's for a while so we had fun playing a game called smart ass. I'm not cursing I promise, it was really the name of the game and once you play it you realize why it's called such a name. Everybody was loud and laughing and it was fun, poor T thought didn't know what to think. Welcome to the family honey!

Don't know what else to say. I'm at work today and it's very boring. No one is coming in and I'm almost done with my second book. My boss has been on vacation since June 30, and won't be returning until the 15th, so I'm stuck at the store for two weeks. Joy!

Hope ya'll have a great weekend!

TGIF

Yes, I am so glad it is Friday. Who doesn't enjoy Fridays? I know I do!

A lot has happened this week, and it all flew by while it was happening. Monday was a typical Monday for me. I went in early that morning to work to help get ready for our big grand opening Thursday night.

It was only 9:00 when I got there but I was already sweating. We completley rearranged the patio and swept everything. While my boss my was finishing up moving the metal animals we have for sale around, she had me start spray painting the leaves on some giant metal palm trees that she bought. After painting a total of 12 leaves, I was feeling really good.

Tuesday I went to work again, this time to actually sell things. The store is usually closed on Monday so we can organize and price new inventory that we got over the weekend. Plus, my boss wasn't there so I was all my by lonesome. Luckily T was done working cattle early that day so I was able to talk to him. I was also able to mail out my invitations too. Finally. Tuesday was not a very happening day for me. For some reason I was feeling very melancholy, down in the dumps really. I felt like I was going to have a meltdown and couldn't explain why.

Wednesday was my day off so I thought I would spend the day packing and cleaning up my room, but that didn't happen. Tuesday night T gulited me into comeing to see him the next morning, since he had a day to check his waters. It was going to be a fast trip but I decided I would do it anyways. When I get to the house I feel disgusted. There is so much that I want to do with it, but I don't ever have time. It is terribly dusty, everything needs cleaned, the porch looks like a tornado went through it and the yard + my garden is slowly dying. So much to do!! I'm just going to have to wait till I move out there to fix it all.
I'm glad I got to ride around with T all morning, it always makes me feel better to visit with him. We talk about anything and everything! I know I've only known him for two years but he is my best friend. I feel very fortunate to have him in my life.
After lunch we say our goodbyes and I tell him that the next time I see him, I will be able to smile for real! :) Wednesday evening I ride up to Odessa with my mother, it was quite an interesting trip!

Thursday was a very busy day, very busy indeed. My mom and I got up early and did as much shopping as we could before my ortho appointment at ten. We are not crazy impulse shoppers, but that day we were. We accomplished quite a lot in the way of decorations for the wedding/reception. Didnt' even blow our budget! My dad was proud. My ortho appt didn't take long really, they had my braces off in about five minutes and toke pictures and impressions and I was out of there. I had to go back though after lunch to get my temporary retainers. I'm so excited that my braces are finally off!! You have no idea. Just in time for the wedding to!

Yay!

After we finished our shopping, we had to rush home so that I could be at work for our grand opening. I was so tired and there was too many people getting a little to tipsy that I had to leave after about two hours. Apparently I missed all the drama after I left. It's funny how people in their 50's and 60's can get drunk off of a couple glasses of wine. Now you know why I left.

Today I'm just at work today, and no one is coming in. Even though it is Fiesta Del Sol here in Alpine, America.

Today is my mom's last day of work at the bank. She has decided that she wants to help my dad with the family business and help my with the wedding. So the girls at the bank threw her a going away party and they got her this cake. The lady that made this cake is the one who is doing my wedding cake so I was able to get a taste of it and boy was it good. Oh, and everything except the butterfly is edible on that cake!
