Birthday parties, Puppies, and Rain Storms

If the title didn't tip you off, I've had a busy weekend/Monday!

First of all, we went to a birthday bash Saturday night, and we didn't even know the birthday boy. Claytie Williams has a huge birthday party every year at his home north of Alpine and somehow we got invited. Don't worry, we aren't running with the "big" crowd nowadays. The whole Longfellow ranch got to go. It was fun spending the evening with new friends and getting to relax for a bit. T relaxed a little to much, if you know what I mean and it made me laugh. There was a bunch of people there, most of which I didn't know! There was also the band "The Oak Ridge Boys," who played most of the night.

It got cold when the sun went down!!

Second of all, we have found ourselves with another puppy. Another cute one too!

This is Cooter! He is a two month old Catahoula puppy that my parents brought us from Missouri. We love our first puppy Spur but he is not a very good "guard dog." Hopefully he will be a good one!

He zonked out after playing so much!

And thirdly, when I was driving home from work today I saw this little rain storm.

I thought it was cool how the cloud just opened up and poured rain for like 15 minutes! It was amazing!

Well I'm off to attempt to make supper, ya'll have a great week!

  1. That is such a cute puppy!!! I bet yall have your hands full now with the both of them.

    Those two pictures are awesome!!

  2. Fun! We got an invite, do every year, but went to NM this time for the neices b-day party. :)

Cute puppy! I bet y'all are busy now.
We will be having puppies before to much longer! Excited... I think. ;)

    Love the rain pics!

  3. This post only made me want to get a puppy even more now!

  4. What a cutie, hope he makes a good watch dog for you. Glad yall had the chance to go and have some fun.

  5. Aw, I can't wait to get our puppy! :) Sounds like a fun weekend.
I didn't know catahoulas were watch dogs, I googled them yesterday and saw that they were very protective of women and kids. Hope he's a good one! Did T tell you about the one we had as kids? Her name was Nell.
