A lot has happened around here since that last time I blogged, although that wasn't very long ago. I try to blog once, maybe twice a week. I enjoy blogging, it's like talking to that friend who doesn't care what you say :)
Well my wonderful husband turned 22 last Tuesday. It was a good day, even though I had to work. I got home early enough to start supper which was supposed to consist of Steak, mashed potatoes, peas and homemade biscuits... Key word, supposed to. A flat tired ruined on T's ranch pickup ruined that, along with my good mood so we ended up having steak and mac n cheese.
Wednesday night we went into town to stay with my folks for Thanksgiving and they had another, much more successful supper for T. Thanksgiving was great, lots of good food and lots of time with family made it worth while. Although, Saturday morning I was ready to sleep in my own bed. :)
T had off till Sunday, so his sister and brother-in-law came down for the night. It was a short trip but it was good to get to see every them. Their little ones are so dang cute! Can' wait for mine to get here.
Today I was supposed to clean the house and finish laundry, but I decided to go with T instead to check waters.
I'm not really myself tonight. I guess a sore throat and runny nose will do that to ya. I really hope that I'm not getting sick, but I think it's too late. And, I've had the blues the last couple of days, not the baby blues, just hormonal blues. I'm sure some of you can relate.
Well, I think I'll get off now and eat supper. The baby is hungry :)

It's a... Oh yeah it's definitely a Boy!!
Yes, it's a boy! We are having a little boy! Or that's what the U/T tech told us.. And it was pretty clear that its a boy, kinda hard not to miss!
Anyways... when we got to the hospital, they got us checked right into radiology and in no time we were looking at our little one on a screen. I had a female tech this time, instead of the hippie cowboy I had last time, and she was a lot gentler! She checked to see what it was first thing, and it took her all of about 2 seconds to figure out it was boy! Like I said earlier, it was kind of hard not to miss. For me anyways, T didn't hear what she said and but he soon figured it out. She first measured me, then the baby's head, abdomen, and femur bone, to see how far along he was. He weight 1 lb 5 oz right now and is 22 weeks and 5 days along. It's amazing what technology can do these days! To see how much he weights just by the length and size of certain things!
The little guy was being awfully shy though, he had managed to wedge himself in the very lower right part of my belly, curling up in a tiny little ball and using my bladder as a pillow. She showed us the spine and he was really curled up, in a very tight little ball! When she was measuring the top of the head, you could see a foot right next to it! It's crazy how flexible he seems to be!
This one is hard to make out, but there is only face there, not two! If you look in the upper left corner you can see his nostrils, and to the right of that his mouth is open. It looked like he was sucking when we were watching him, opening and closing his mouth. Oh and he had the hiccups!
Here is another one of his face, he has his hand up by his mouth and his head rested on my bladder. (The large white thing at the bottom of screen. You can see his eyes, nose, and mouth and he looks like he is frowning!
I can't wait to meet him! March is never going to get here! Oh, and they moved my due date up, not very much but it is now March 10th. I have a feeling that he will be early but thats ok with me!

Now I bet your wondering about T and what he thinks. He is excited, but this morning he asked me if I was sure it was a boy. I'm pretty sure it is I told him. He admitted that he kind of wanted a little girl to love on, but he will get one one day! :)
And here I am at 22 weeks. Showing just a little bit more. Well, I'm going to work on some things so ya'll have a great rest of the week. :)
Oh, and just in case your wondering, his name will be Keagan Tell Blackwell!

Sunday Evening Rambllings
Well it's Sunday evening, and T and I are just chillin, watching movies and visiting. I went to church this morning and had a wonderful pot luck dinner with everyone at church. I like going to church, even though I have to go by myself. Sometimes I can make for a long day and then I'm tired when I get home, but that's what Sunday evenings are for! Poor T had to get up and go to work this morning though, but luckily he was home by dinner.
Did everyone know about the end of daylight savings? Because I sure didn't... I was glad I called my mother this morning and found out that I was going to be an hour early to church! I guess that's what happens when you live in the middle of no where and don't talk to very many people (which I love by the way!) But it's all good now! The clocks are set back and life can go on.. maybe! Ha! T's boss won't change his time, so the ranch is still set an hour ahead. Makes me laugh because if you think about it, he is losing an extra hour of work out his already tired men! :)
Anyways, tomorrow I have my monthly doctors appointment. This appointment has been much waited upon, mainly because the doc is supposed to order an ultrasound so we can find out what we are having! Finally! And.. it's just like me, but in my book that has informed me more about pregnancy than anyone I've talked too (No offense mom!) it says that there is a window of time to find out what the sex is (16 to 22 weeks) and I'm right at the end of the window! If the baby gets to big then there is not enough room for the UT to see what it is. So I'm slightly freaking out. If I have any say in it, then hopefully Wednesday we will be finding out if we are having a little miss or a little mr. I can't wait! Oh, and T is coming with me! He says he doesn't care what his boss says, This is important!! Is it not?
Well, that is all the rambling I have for today. I rearranged my living room this past week and I have to finish picking up the pile of stuff thats found it's stuff on the floor. Not to mention my kitchen needs cleaning... again. Oh and supper needs cooked, I was thinking green Chile enchiladas! Adios ya'll! :)

Real Quick!
Awwhaha! I just had to share! Yesterday marked 20 weeks for me, and this morning I woke up to the little one kicking me pretty good and I saw my belly move! It was so exciting! :)
I should contain myself, but I get easily excited about such things! Lately the little one has been doing acrobatics in my belly, moving all over the place and kicking like crazy! T finally got to feel it kick the other day, made him all giggly if you can believe that! :) I can't wait for Novemeber to get here, so we can finally find out what we are having!
Oh, I also thought you might like an update on my aunt. She is doing much better now, still laid up in bed in Colorado but I talked to her on the phone the other day and you couldn't even tell that something was wrong. She has a bladder infection that they are trying to get under control then they are going to try and send her home to Friona. Thank you for all the prayers that have been sent her way! :)
Ok, I have Christmas presents to work on, since I dont' have to motivation to do anything else haha! Ya'll have a great day!

This is what I did yesterday....
No, I wasn't playing Indians & Outlaws, I was participating in the 20th Annual Freestyle Reining!
My song was "Big Iron" by Marty Robbins. I was the ranger in the song, and my friend was the outlaw! Oh and my horse played my trusty steed! She wasn't to happy about the mustache but she performed great for me!
It was a lot of fun getting to see all the different themes and costumes, however some people come up with the crazies things to do! :)
Since I won the saddle last year, I couldn't compete for it again this year. I could compete for reserve champ though which in my opinion is better than champion, And.. I was really hoping to win it. I'll get to that later though. Well, Petie and I placed 2nd in our age group which was the Senior group (My last year to compete as a 4-H member, next year I will be in the adult group.) I won a really cool breast collar which will look good on my saddle :) At first I was half way nervous about winning reserve since I only placed 2nd, but I shouldn't of been. (just for the record, I'm not the kind of person that thinks they are better than everyone else, I only wanted to win reserve champ for one reason, which I'm getting to) Enough babbling! After much anticipation, Champ, and reserve champ were finally awarded, and sure enough, I won reserve. I was thrilled! Now, for the big prize that I had been hoping to win? It was this....
Well anyways, T and I are enjoying a lazy Sunday, so ya'll have a great one too!

2nd Annual Cowgril Gathering and Things
This past weekend was the 2nd annual Cowgirl Gathering that our church puts on, and let me tell ya, it was such a blast! Last year I was fully involved in the planning of the Gathering, but this year I decided to sit back and enjoy it. Of course, I had other things on my mind when they started having the meetings :) This weekend also marks the one year anniversary since I started blogging! Haha!
T was a little upset that I was going to be leaving him for a couple of days, but I was glad to get to spend some time with other women. He did just fine without me! There were about 40 of us this year, which is 10 more than last year. At night, the dining hall was filled with lots of laughter and cheerful voices, mine included! It was really good for me because some of the things that were talked about really hit home in certain areas of my life that I'm struggling with. Prayer was the "theme," of the gathering this year. Anyways, I won't get all sentimental on ya'll, but it was a good time and a refresher for me when it comes to prayer and the Lord! :)
So, going into the gathering, me, my best friend, and our Pastor's wife were the only ones who knew I was expecting. However, leaving the event, all 40 women knew. Someone spilled the beans I don't know who it was yet but it is on longer a surprise! Oh and did I mention that pregnancy was the topic of conversation the whole weekend after everyone found out. Everywhere I turned there were women talking about their experiences and giving advice. I was a little overwhelmed, but it feels good know that more people know.
So with that, I can start blogging about it! Yay!
He loves his dog more than he lets on. Whenever T leaves for work, Cooter whines and tries to jump in his chair.

This is me at 19 weeks along today
People can't believe I'm 19 weeks along and hardly showing at all. I asked my doctor about it and he said because I had such a lean stomach, (I was flattered because I don't think my stomach is very lean) that I wouldn't start to really show until around 26 weeks. I go back to the doctor on the 7th of November and he said that he would order an ultrasound so we can find out what it is! :) I can't wait!
And in other news....
This one is like having a little kid around. Since he barely has any hair, I let Cooter sleep in the house with us. He does pretty good for the most part and gets up about every hour and half to be let out. My mom said it's good practice... Haha! Except for last night of course, I wasn't feeling very good and slept through his whining. It wouldn't have been so bad except that T put him on the bed so guess what, I'm washing bedding today. Let's see, I have shoes missing, and socks, and holes in the bottoms on my pajama pants where he stands that and pulls on my pant leg in the morning. I try putting him outside but Spur just mauls him and is way to rough. T says it's good for him but I feel bad for him because Spur won't even let him walk, he just runs him over and knocks him down.
Button and Cooter at my parents house. She is very protective of him. :)
Well I suppose, I have fall decorating to do today, so ya'll have a great week!

Birthday parties, Puppies, and Rain Storms
If the title didn't tip you off, I've had a busy weekend/Monday!
First of all, we went to a birthday bash Saturday night, and we didn't even know the birthday boy. Claytie Williams has a huge birthday party every year at his home north of Alpine and somehow we got invited. Don't worry, we aren't running with the "big" crowd nowadays. The whole Longfellow ranch got to go. It was fun spending the evening with new friends and getting to relax for a bit. T relaxed a little to much, if you know what I mean and it made me laugh. There was a bunch of people there, most of which I didn't know! There was also the band "The Oak Ridge Boys," who played most of the night.
I thought it was cool how the cloud just opened up and poured rain for like 15 minutes! It was amazing!
Well I'm off to attempt to make supper, ya'll have a great week!

It got cold when the sun went down!!
Second of all, we have found ourselves with another puppy. Another cute one too!
This is Cooter! He is a two month old Catahoula puppy that my parents brought us from Missouri. We love our first puppy Spur but he is not a very good "guard dog." Hopefully he will be a good one!
He zonked out after playing so much!
And thirdly, when I was driving home from work today I saw this little rain storm.
I thought it was cool how the cloud just opened up and poured rain for like 15 minutes! It was amazing!
